What is Holicay or holicay.com?
Holicay is a Singapore based travel tech company that powers the world's first collaborative trip planner that lets travellers plan, book and manage bespoke vacations in one place, powered by AI.
Why did the Founders start Holicay?
We started Holicay because we didn't enjoy the process needed to pull a group trip together. You had to rely on wordy blogs, Youtube videos (may not mention the exact place), Instagram (no map pins) for research and another set of tools for organization using Google Maps, Notion or Sheets. Then you have to book all these logistics on separate different platforms (flights, Airbnb, Booking.com) and everyone forgets who paid for what. The Co-founders wanted a more streamlined process for discovery, organization and booking on a single tab and that's how Holicay was born.
How does Holicay work?
There are three ways any traveller can use Holicay. Users who are looking to create a itinerary from scratch may use the Kanban inspired Holicay Canvas to design their own trip collaboratively with friends. For travellers who prefer to reference other existing itineraries, they may browse and find community itineraries published by other travel creators and customize from their plans. Lastly, for users that need more personalization they may plan their trip with Holi AI.
Is Holicay.com free to use?
Yes! Holicay's trip planner is free to use and most of its other travel utility tools like it's optimize route function, expense splitting and Google Maps export are free to use. However, Holicay also has paid features that users will need to pay in order to access. Some of these paid components include exclusive access to prominent travel creator itineraries and other quality of life features.
What makes Holicay different from other travel planning sites?
Unlike other travel planning apps that focus on productivity, Holicay also supports the booking of the bespoke trips that any user designs. Our Canvas allows travelers to seamlessly cart out and purchase hotels, land transfers and tours and tickets all in one tab. In addition, Holicay has the best horizontal drag-and-drop travel planning interface called the Canvas - a Kanban-style trip planner.
Do I need an account to use Holicay?
You can browse itineraries and plan trips without an account, but signing up lets you save trips, collaborate, and book experiences.
Trip Planning & Itineraries on the Canvas
Can I create my own itinerary from scratch?
You can start with a blank Canvas and add hotels, experiences, and transport. The best part is that you can get friends to collaborate with you across different types of devices with multi-sync. This ensures you always have access to your itinerary regardless of where you are and the devices you are using.
Can I customize existing itineraries?
Yes! There are two ways you can customize an itinerary. The first way would be to browse our community itineraries for an itinerary that is suitable. Next you can click customize on a free or premium itinerary (if you have bought it) and export that entire plan into your own trip planner. You can then modify dates, swap activities, or add your own experiences.
Can I collaborate with friends or family on a trip?
Yes! Holicay lets you invite others to edit and organize a trip together as long as they have access to your Canvas's edit link.
How do I save my itinerary?
Holicay has an auto-save feature for any itineraries that you plan on the Canvas and works similarly to Google Sheets or Google Word.
Can I download my itinerary?
As of 2025, you can export your itineraries to PDF via our itinerary export function. You can find this button at the top right of the Holicay Canvas.
Does Holicay offer recommendations based on my preferences?
Holicay does not provide personalized recommendations to individuals on the free plan. However Holicay's recommendations are curated by the thousands of users that are planning their trips on the platform
How do I find transportation options for my itinerary?
Holicay integrates transport booking options, including airport transfers and private drivers. You may find this under the "Add something" function on your Canvas and then selecting the transportation option. From there you may pick your transport of choice. Pro tip: You can also find any flight internationally using our flight finder under transportation. This makes it easier for you to plan around your arrival and departure times.
Can I add notes to my trip?
Yes! You can add private notes and share them with your travel group.
Can I plan multi-destination trips?
Of course! Holicay supports complex itineraries across multiple cities and countries. You may do this by clicking on the Add Destination button on the homepage or via the Edit Destination/Dates text on the Canvas.
Booking & Payments
Can I book Airbnbs through Holicay?
Not at the moment. However you will be able to book hotels and other vacation rentals around the world with operations in 100+ countries.
Can I book hotels directly through Holicay?
Yes! You can reserve hotels, private tours, and transport all in the Holicay Canvas.
What payment methods does Holicay accept?
We accept major credit cards, debit cards, and international payment gateways like Wise.
Is my payment secure?
Yes! We use industry-standard encryption to protect your transactions.
Can I book activities separately from accommodations?
Yes! You can choose to book individual experiences without booking a full itinerary. Think of the Canvas as a variation of a checkout cart and you can choose to purchase different products separately. However, the benefit of purchasing everything together is that you will save money from a bulk purchase. This is only eligible for users who are booking multiple products at the same time.
How do I know my booking is confirmed?
You will receive an email confirmation and can view your bookings in your Holicay account. Similarly, you can find your past bookings under My Bookings in Holicay. To make a booking, you must have a Holicay account.
Can I pay in different currencies?
Yes! We support multiple currencies depending on your location.
Does Holicay charge a booking fee?
Holicay takes a commission from the hotels or tour providers whenever you place a booking as a convenience fee while still ensuring that the rates you get are competitive to the market.
Can I book for a group trip?
Yes! We support small group bookings, and private tours can accommodate multiple guests. Holicay's platform excels at private group bookings as users will get to benefit from the cost savings when you book a trip for a bigger group. Do I need to pay in full at the time of booking?
Similar to most other travel OTAs or E-commerce platforms, we require full payment in order to reserve your booking. An upfront booking ensures that we can support our users to the fullest and create trust between our users and suppliers.
Cancellations & Refunds
Can I cancel a booking?
Yes, but cancellation policies vary depending on the type of product that you book. For more information about cancellation, please refer to each product's cancellation policy.
How do I request a refund?
If eligible, you can request a refund through your Holicay account. You may do so by going to your My Bookings tab and selecting the product you wish to refund. Refunds are not immediate and can take up to 20 business days depending on your payment method.
Can I change my booking dates?
You may not change your booking dates directly. However if eligible, you may request a refund and then proceed to book that product on a different date.
Do I get a full refund if I cancel within 24 hours?
Some providers offer a 24-hour free cancellation. Please check your booking details for more information.
What if my trip is affected by unforeseen events?
Holicay works with partners to offer flexible rebooking options or cancellations. For more information, please see Terms and Conditions.
Can I transfer my booking to someone else?
You may write in to us via [email protected] for hotel bookings.
What happens if a tour operator cancels my booking?
You will receive a full refund or an alternative option.
How do I modify an existing booking?
If you have booked a cancellable product, you may proceed to request a cancellation and create a new booking.

How do I delete my Holicay account?

Why is my payment not going through?

Some bookings require manual confirmation—check back within 24 hours.

Yes! Manually add hotels, activities, and notes to customize your trip. If you cannot find a specific hotel or product you booked elsewhere, Holicay lets you create a custom product and upload your links or details directly for free.
